The Fondazione Querini Stampalia shares with the VIF the vision of our city. We are therefore pleased to announce the start of a collaboration between our institutions that will run for three years, until 2025, enabling a fruitful exchange of ideas and, for all members, the opportunity to visit the permanent collections and exhibitions of the Querini Stampalia free of charge with a guest.

In particular, the VIF will support the CARTA project (Catalogo Aggiornato per il Recupero Tecnologico degli Archivi – Updated Catalogue for the Technological Recovery of Archives) for the management, preservation and promotion of approximately 2.8 million digital images that have become part of the Foundation’s collections following three donations made between 2017 and 2021: the photographic archives of Graziano Arici, Mark Smith and Luigi Ferrigno.

The photographic exhibition Graziano Arici. Oltre Venezia. Now is the Winter of our Discontent, curated by Daniel Rouvier, forms part of this project and runs until 1 May 2023.
